My new toy - Samsung Galaxy-S

Finally I have decided to go for Galaxy-S after earlier comparison with HTC Desire even though both units in terms of features are almost the same. The differences are lower battery consumption (2x lower); longer standby/talk time (2x longer); embedded 16GB memory; Amoled touchscreen with 4inch wide display that is more than enough reasons to go for and i believed it is the biggest touchscreen display ever have in the Android smartphone market currently. It is light (119g) and handy while holding it in my palm too.

That's lot of interesting apps/tools are mostly are practical and applied to my daily use. It toke me almost crazy over night to explore it inside out while played around the useful apps, just trying to get myself familiarize in a short period. The package is price is RM1699 and i just signed up the lowest voice plan (RM50/mth) and data plan (RM48/mth) for starting before upgrade it if it's necessary in future, just because Maxis don't allowed for downgrade but upgrade the plan only...
($@#%^&*&^%$!...) and i just have canceled the company's stupid corporate plan for 2 years (6 months remaining) without need to pay penalty charges as long as the contract  fulfilled minimum 18 months requirement

Moreover, Android ver2.2 will be released somewhere next month and i can upgrade it for free from the current version 2.1 without hassle. Android o/s phone will overtake Windows mobile sooner or later in the mobile phone market, and I have no regret to go for Android phone in the latest o/s phone technology which is much more better than Windows o/s based phone.

** This phone is really caught attention to most of my colleagues and friends while i'm holding it in my palm for as i noticed that sometimes ... perhaps it's still new for now ~~  :-)

Skytrex canopy walk

It was nice to be back to Bukit Cerakah in Shah Alam again for canopy walk last weekend. As i could remember, i was there once many years ago for hiking trip and the Skytrex-Adventure is not there yet. Waking up in the early morning was bit terrible as i was only slept for 4 hours after Bon Odori event but somehow i managed to reach there at 8am morning as scheduled.

I still enjoyed with the walks with many different kind of mid level challenging walk at 21m (about 70 feet) height from the ground though i did that at extreme level few times in somewhere. It was good to be there, good to enjoyed myself and captured some nice shots and it was also glad to see someone just wanted me to sing her a song before she could jumped-off from a tree platform to another each time... :-)

Bon Odori Festival

It was a same old things with super crowd nearly 40,000 people were gathered at the Panasonic stadium last weekend for the Japanese ghost event. Needless to say parking was the most headache issue because of traffic jam surrounding areas and i got to parked my car far away from the stadium about 10 minutes walk. Well, still not too bad to have big  sausages and Asahi beer for light dinner before the culture dance show was begun at about 6.30pm.

The crowd was celebrating crazily and having fun dancing around the stage when some traditional Japanese music was started to play. I was trying to get some good angle for 'shooting' especially at the VIP but no luck as i couldn't find a way to 'snake-in' because of security reason. Anyway, still manage to get some pictures there somehow and also met some friends there for fun.

That's it for South Africa World Cup 2010

Spain is now the world champion for the first time after they won European cup two years ago. No doubt, they are truly deserved to be a world champion with their outstanding 'Galatico' performance and got the last laugh finally. Frankly, I don't have much feeling while they were celebrating madly and lifting the cup sky high. How disappointed to see my supporting teams (Argentina & Holland) were defeated one by one... that bloody octopus - 'Ah Paul' must be get fried one day !!

From i saw, there's almost 300 Spain & Holland fans were gathered up at mamak store for live watching. Noises of madly shouting and also that irritating Vuvuzela trumpet sound was buzzed for whole night when the match was kick-off. It was a long night and feeling tired but have no regret spending time watching the finale with friends till early at about 5:30am morning. Imagine how exciting to catch this football event once in four years. Hopefully it will be the same again for the next world cup in Brazil and not only just watching it with friends but also have it somewhere with someone if we could meet-up along the way.

World Cup is finally over and things are now back to normal just as before. It's 'resting month' for football fans indeed before new season of all football leagues in Europe are begins in mid of August... and i got to rest too. Wishing Manchester United will have the flying start in the new season.

World Cup syndrome

It's getting to a month since World Cup was started in the mid of June, sooner it is coming to finale this weekend and i might have a good night rest again after spending precious times and energy watching it outside with friends in the middle of the night sometimes and at home as well. Although it is pretty tiring when watching it back to back continuously, especially when those big favorite teams matches were happened scheduled at same time frame...real jialat ! Sometimes i think whether it's worth chase-watching crazily for all the live matches. Surely the answer is NO, and i have been watching just only half of the 64 live matches, which is 32 matches so far... not too bad, still at the average level of watching rate i think.. :-)

There's too much of upset match results were happened in group stage round, especially  big favorite teams like France, Italy, England and Portugal were all failed to shine, got defeated and knocked out. With that, it was already enough to make them toke early flight home in shame. Perhaps it's even  made me like to see upset results, probably because i never gamble and didn't bet for any matches but just enjoy watching. Good that my supporting team - Argentina & Holland, were strong and steady in the beginning but somehow Argentina was terribly knocked by the Germans in quarter-finals recently. Now my hope is banking on Holland and hopefully they will through the final by sending Uruguay back home in semi-final later on, and lift the World Cup trophy on coming Sunday.

Well, surely will not miss for both semi-finals and the grand finale matches in this coming week. All the best to the Netherlands-Holland-Oranje... let's 'Holland style' all the way ! ~~
