Makan Trip (Teluk Intan-Ipoh)

I had been to many places for makan trip but Teluk Intan (formerly known as Teluk Anson) was my first time there in last weekend. I used to think it's just a small town and famous with 'chue chiong fun' and 'hiong piang' but surprisingly it's not really small as i thought when i reached there... quite a big town indeed (Bandar Teluk Intan) and i think it is developed a lot ever since as almost all local banks have branches there including foreign bank - HSBC.

Surely, i won't see high rise building around and average height of all building around is about 4-5 floors only. The highest building in Teluk Intan surely is its landmark leaning tower (about 7-8 floors height) as it just like Italy's Pisa tower that lean to one side. That's nothing special about the tower as highest floors visitors could go is up to 2nd floor only. Apart trying the famous 'chue chiong fun' at night time, other food like their local 'bak kut teh', rojak and seafood and also staying late watching Champion League final live at McDonalds. And also not forgetting Ipoh 'nagr choy kai', white coffee and karya puff on the following day.

It was real tiring drove all the way there with another friends's car after having 4 hours sleep, but i was truly enjoyed the 'ho chiak' makan trip. I'm now planning for the second makan trip (series 2) and all makan kaki friends are now waiting for it. The next 'Ho Chiak' trip is most likely is Ipoh-Penang route and will be staying over night in Penang... ~~
